Windows Device Setup

Download the Installer

  • Go to Devices in your HISN dashboard
  • Click Download under the Windows section
  • Save the file hisn-setup.exe

Install

  • Right-click the downloaded file and select Run as Administrator
  • The installer will:

- Install the HISN proxy service

- Install the trusted root certificate

- Configure your system proxy settings

  1. Wait for the "Installation complete" message

Verify

  • Open your browser and visit chatgpt.com
  • Try sending a test message containing a credit card number: 4111 1111 1111 1111
  • If HISN is working, the message will be blocked with a notification

Troubleshooting

  • "Windows protected your PC" warning: Click "More info" → "Run anyway". The installer is safe.
  • Proxy not working: Check Windows Settings → Network & Internet → Proxy. It should show the HISN proxy enabled.
  • Certificate errors: Open certmgr.msc and check that "Hisn Root CA" appears under Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
